What work is included in your managed service, and what is considered out of scope?


My managed service covers everything related to hosting, performance, security, updates, monitoring, and keeping your WordPress website stable and running smoothly. I take care of the technical foundation so you do not have to worry about servers, caching, backups, or optimization.

There are a few items that fall outside the scope of my monthly management plan. These are tasks that require custom development, design changes, or project based work. When something is out of scope, I can still help you with it through my hourly or project based services.

Included in Your Monthly Service

  • Hosting management and server configuration
  • Performance tuning and caching configuration (standard)
  • Website monitoring and proactive issue prevention
  • Daily backups and security hardening
  • WordPress core theme and plugin updates (personally managed)
  • Malware detection and basic security cleanup
  • Uptime monitoring and reactive support
  • CDN implementation and optimization
  • Consultation and guidance on best practices

Out of Scope

(Available as Paid Project or Hourly Work)

  • Advanced performance optimization for heavy sites
  • Changes to your website design or appearance
  • Custom code development or debugging
  • Fixing broken themes or plugins caused by coding errors
  • Functionality changes or custom feature requests
  • Full website rebuilds or redesigns
  • Creating new pages or modifying existing content
  • Major plugin or theme upgrades that require redevelopment
  • Auditing or refactoring large codebases

Standard performance tuning and caching configuration is included in your monthly service. However, some websites require deeper optimization work to achieve meaningful speed improvements. This applies to sites with large numbers of plugins, heavy or outdated themes, extensive page builder layouts, third party scripts, or images that need manual resizing or compression. When a site falls into this category, I will outline the specific work required and provide a project based estimate so we can properly improve performance without compromising stability.
